Jacobs Baby Botanicals founder, Valerie Jacobs has been a long-time devotee to natural remedies and applications for her family’s lifestyle. When her four children were growing up, she made most of their baby food, used only cloth diapers, powdered their bottoms with corn starch and relied heavily on a low fat diet with lots of fresh fruits and vegetables. Along the way she began incorporating herbs and essential oils for the health benefits they offered.

During her doula practice, she offered her clients natural alternatives in caring for their babies, being that much of the mainstream marketplace in baby care continued to be inundated with artificial and synthetic saturation The ideas and formulas were well received and that served as the inspiration for the inception of Jacobs Baby Botanicals. For the past two years, she has been engaged in research and product development and is dedicated to promoting wellness for babies, from newborns to toddlers by providing healthy, safe and effective products for their care.
